How to Measure Current Ratings of Inductors
The Current Rating of an inductor is determined by a mathematical calculation that is impacted by the ambient temperature and temperature rise values utilized within the formula. Variations in those temperature values among inductor supplier datasheets make it challenging to do valid comparisons.
Unlike other chip manufacturers, Gowanda Electronics’ chip inductors utilize co-fired terminations and fully encapsulated designs to address market needs for chemical resistance, vibration/sheer resistance, integrity (electrical & mechanical) and durability during handling & processing.
