To Shield or Not to Shield - Part 2
As mentioned in Part 1, shielding of inductors is a common and effective method to solve EMI issues. In Part 2 we revisit electric and magnetic shielding options, but in greater depth. We also provide design and component positioning tips which can help alleviate the need for shielding materials. Several GCG inductor series are overviewed as examples of standard shielded design options.
More New Conicals
Gowanda continues to expand its broadband conical product line. The company recently introduced 2 new series – C102 and C182 – in both flying lead and surface mount configurations. Performance ranges include inductance from 0.47μH to 10.7μH, DCR ohms form 0.19 to 7.10 and current rating mA DC from 150 to 815.
